Google's gearing up to unveil a new Huawei Nexus 6P next week! Here we round up the rumours surrounding the new Nexus 6 UK release date, price and specification, plus new press renders of the device

New Nexus 6P specification and feature rumours: What to expect from the new Nexus 6P

Huawei has been confirmed as the manufacturing partner on the new Nexus 6P. A source told IBT that the P8 maker is working 'in close partnership with Google' on the smartphone.
With Huawei holding a press conference at September's IFA 2015, many people speculated that we might see a glimpse of the forthcoming Nexus 6P during the Huawei keynote. Unfortunately, the company told us about the Mate S and Huawei Watch only. That probably shouldn't have some as a surprise - the Nexus 6 is Google's thing.
Various sources have leaked specifications for the new Nexus 6P, and all seem to have the following in common: the Huawei Nexus 6P will feature a 5.7in Quad HD screen, a metal body with USB Type-C and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Some other rumours, as we'll see below, suggest there will also be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, front-facing stereo speakers, a 21Mp camera and support for wireless charging. That would make for a very high-end phone - and one we're hoping will follow Huawei's usual pricing pattern (high-end specs with a mid-range price).
The most recent leak comes from a Geekbench database entry for the new Huawei Nexus 6P. It posted single- and multi-core scores of 1156 and 3641 points respectively, and the entry confirms that the Nexus 6P will run the Snapdragon 810 with 3GB of RAM. Those scores put performance in line with the HTC One M9 and LG G4 - compare the Nexus 6's performance to other phones we've tested in our article What's the fastest smartphone 2015
According to @Onleaks, the Huawei Nexus will have a 5.7in screen and dimensions of 159.4x78.3x6.6/8.5mm. The Nexus 6P will have a metal body, USB Type-C, front facing speakers and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
GizmoChina reports that the Huawei Nexus 6P's specs have leaked online. It lists no sources, so we're taking them with a pinch of salt, but they do seem to go along with other reports. Apparently the new Nexus 6P will have a 5.7in WQHD AMOLED screen, a metal unibody chassis, a 21Mp rear camera and wireless charging.
Prolific leaker @evleaks also says the Huawei Nexus will feature a 5.7in screen with a Quad HD resolution, a metal body and a fingerprint scanner, but adds a Snapdragon 820 processor to that list. He says it will ship in Q4 of this year, which supports our own theories.
The latest leak comes from Android Police, which says the Nexus 6P will come with 32-, 64- or 128GB of storage.

New Nexus 6P video

uSwitch has revealed exclusive new renders of the Huawei Nexus 6P, sourced by OnLeaks, which shows it to have the same rear fingerprint scanner as the Nexus 5. Check out the new Nexus 6P in its video below.
However, our first sighting of what could be the new Nexus 6P came from Google's own promo video for Project Fi. It's clearly not a Nexus 6P, despite the fact that is the only available handset that works with Project Fi right now, so could it be a Huawei-made Nexus phone? Check out the video below.

New Nexus 6P leaked images

During its Google I/O keynote back in June Google announced that Android 6.0 Marshmallow would get USB Type-C support built-in, and we were shown a mystery device. This could have been our very first look at the new Nexus 6P.
New Nexus 5 with USB Type-C?
Photos purporting to be of the Nexus 6P have surfaced on a Google+ post and show the front and back of a phone. The rear shot shows a pronounced black panel which houses the camera and flash and below it is a microphone. There's a circular fingerprint reader below that, similar to the location of the square reader on Huawei's Mate 7 phablet. The image of the front seems to be the same handset as the colour of the metal unibody matches. The screen is off, disappointingly, but there could be front-facing stereo speakers. Unless, that is, Huawei has made only the bottom grille a loudspeaker and the top one an earpiece for phonecalls.
