Root and Install Custom Recovery on HTC U Ultra

Download SuperSu to root HTC U Ultra and copy it to your phone sd card.

How To Install TWRP Recovery and Root HTC U Ultra

1) First of all go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times and enable USB debugging from setting>developer option>. 

2) Now go to installation directory open ADB folder and open the command window there by pressing and hold the ‘shift’ key and right-clicked anywhere in that folder.

3) Connect your phone to PC and reboot the device into fastboot mode by typing

adb reboot download

4) You are in the Fastboot mode now to check your connection by entering below command in command prompt.

fastboot devices

5)Now Type the below command and It will install TWRP recovery on HTC U Ultra

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

6) Now reboot your device or boot into recovery mode.

Now get back to the main menu and once again tap “Install > Locate newly copied SuperSU.zip file and flash it”.

After flashing SuperSU, reboot your phone. You are all done.

Your device will boot up now. Find SuperSu in app drawer. Install Root Checker app to verify root access.
