How To Root And InstalL PhilZ Custom Recovery In Sony Xperia ZL On Android 4.3 Jellybean

Before You Begin:

Download & Install Sony Xperia ZL USB Drivers in your Windows Based PC or Laptop.Connect your device with PC for complete the installation.
Make sure your device have 50% battery left (If not charge your device first)
Make a Backup of your Data for safety.

Download Required Files:

How To Install PhilZ Recovery In Xperia ZL:

Download PhilZ Recovery zip file in your PC.
Extract PhilZ Recovery zip file in your PC.
Now open the folder named lockeddualrecovery from the extracted zip file.
Connect your device to PC with USB cable.
Now locate and Run the install.bat file in that folder.
Your device will automatically boot in PhilZ Recovery mode.
Now in PhilZ Recovery use Volume buttons to navigate to Reboot System Now and use Power button to select it and reboot your device.
PhilZ Recovery is successfully installed in your device now.

How To Root Sony Xperia ZL:

Download SuperSU zip file from above and copy it in your SD card ( Don’t copy it in any folder).
Now Turn Off your device.
Turn ON your device again, as soon as green LED light turns ON, start pressing Volume Up to boot your device into PhilZ Recovery Mode.
Now use Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select.
Now select install zip option in Recovery Mode, then a new window will appear select choose zip from /sdcard there.
Now locate and select SuperSU zip file.
Recovery will start flashing SuperSU in your device, once the installation is over, Select +++Go Back+++
Now select Reboot System Now to reboot your device.

That’s it, Your Sony Xperia ZL running on Android 4.3 Jellybean is successfully rooted now and PhilZ Custom Recovery is successfully flashed in your device.
