Preparation Before Begin

1. If you root your phone, it void your phone warranty, and u can’t get it back.
2. Before do all thing , developer Option menu must be unlocked and USB Debugging mode enabled from developer option.
3. Before u doing these steps , you hav to unblock ur bootloader your device.
4. You have to back up your android phone, before doing this. It will erase ur all data, contacts, and apps.
5. Your device must have 60% battery before do all these thing.

7. Download ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Macand install it on your PC. This will also install your device driver.

How to Unlock bootloader of Moto Z Play –

1. Go into Developer options again, and enable the ‘OEM Unlock‘ from there.

2. After installation of the driver, you can see a folder named ADB in your installation directory. Enter the folder, and you find four files including ADB and fastboot.exe.

3. Now connect your smartphone to the computer using the original USB data cable. Once done, reboot your device into the bootloader / fastboot mode by entering the following command in Minimal ADB and Fastboot:

adb reboot bootloader

4. In the command window, type the following command.

fastboot oem get_unlock_data

5. Now you will get the OEM unlock data string. Copy and paste it in a text document and delete all the blank space so that you will get a single line string.

6. Now head over to the Motorola’s unlock the boot loader site and create a free account or Sign in Google+.

7. Now Paste the above String (Unlock Code) in the bottom of the Moto site (step 6) and click on Can my device be unlocked? You also need to accept terms and condition on this page by clicking I Accept.

8. Now go and check your email for the Unlock key. Once you get it, copy and paste the unlock key in a text document.

9. Next, go to Minimal ADB and Fastboot window and enter the following command: "fastboot oem unlock your-unlock-key"

Replace “your-unlock-key” with the key from your email. 

10. That’s it. Now you have successfully unlocked bootloader on Motorola Moto Z Play. For confirmation, reboot your device into the bootloader mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down > Home > Power Buttons.
