HOW TO UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER OF MOTO G5 AND MOTO G5 PLUS:

Preparation Before Begin1. If you root your phone, it void your phone warranty, and u can’t get it back.
2. Before do all thing , developer Option menu must be unlocked and USB Debugging mode enabled from developer option.
3. Before u doing these steps , you hav to unblock ur bootloader your device.
4. You have to back up your android phone, before doing this. It will erase ur all data, contacts, and apps.
5. Your device must have 60% battery before do all these thing.

7. Download USB driver for Your Device.

Download files require for Root Moto G5 Plus and Install Custom Recovery

Download ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Mac and install it on your PC. This will also install your device driver.

Download and install Drivers for Moto G5 Plus if above doesn’t work.

Download TWRP Recovery for Moto G5 Plus (XDA) and place it in the folder where ADB installed and rename it to ‘recovery.img’.

Download Dm Variety disabler for Moto G5 Plus (no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1)

Download Magisk to root Moto G5 Plus and copy it to your phone sd card.

How to Root and Install TWRP Recovery on Moto G5 Plus 

How To Install TWRP Recovery For Moto G5 Plus

1) Enable USB Debugging

To Enable USB Debugging, First of all, You need to activate Developer Option on your smartphone.

2) To activate, Go to your Settings -> About Phone -> Now Tap on the Build Number 7-8 Times until you see a toast message “Developer option enabled".

3) Once your developer option is active, Go back to your settings -> Open developer option -> Enable USB Debugging. 

4) In your PC/Laptop, Open the extracted ADB Folder and Open Command Window by pressing Shift Key + Right Mouse Click.

5) Now connect the PC to Mobile with USB Cable.

6) You need to Reboot the phone into Bootloader – To reboot, type the following Command from below in your Command window that you opened.

adb reboot bootloader

7) Your device will boot into bootloader, If it doesn't boot, then please make sure your cable and usb drivers have been installed properly.

8) Now type the below command on your command window.

fastboot devices

9) This command will list the connected devices. If your phone’s serial number shows up you are good to go and may continue. If the phone is NOT listed this indicates that your drivers are not installed correctly. In order for you to continue you must fix your drivers so that your phone is listed under fastboot devices.

10) To flash the recovery, Type the command. (Please make sure the name of TWRP image, if you renamed it to recovery.img, then after the flash recovery, type recovery.img)

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

11) Now reboot your device or boot into recovery mode with hardware button and follow below guide.

Root Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5:-

1) Download “no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip” and “Magisk-v11.6.zip” copy it to phone.

2)Turn off your phone and turn on to recovery mode By Volume Up + Power In bootloader screen select recovery.

3) Don’t allow “Swipe to Allow Modifications” cancel it in TWRP recovery.

4) Go to WIPE, then do Factory Reset by “Swipe to Factory Reset“.

Back to TWRP Main Menu go to Reboot then Select Recovery to reboot into Recovery mode (DO NOT INSTALL TWRP APP).

5) Now Allow Modifications “Swipe to Allow Modifications” allow it.

6) Go to Install Navigate to “no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip” Swipe to install.

Back to TWRP Main Menu go to Reboot then Select SYSTEM to reboot into Normal Mode (DO NOT INSTALL TWRP APP). 

7) Wait for the Normal Boot then turn on your device into Recovery Mode.

8) Turn off your phone and turn on to recovery mode By Volume Up + Power In bootloader screen select recovery.

9) Now Allow Modifications “Swipe to Allow Modifications” allow it.

10) Go to Install Navigate to “Magisk-v11.6.zip” Swipe to install.

Back to TWRP Main Menu go to Reboot then Select SYSTEM to reboot into Normal Mode (DO NOT INSTALL TWRP APP). 

11) Wait for the phone boot Open Magisk App and update it.

12) Open Magisk and Enjoy.
