HOW TO ROOT DOOGEE NOVA Y100X RUNNING ANDROID 5.0 (LOLLIPOP)
Download the universal KingRoot one-click rooting app for the Y100X from this link over at XDA Developers.
Have the KingRoot file available on the desktop of the computer.
Connect the Doogee Nova Y100X to the computer using the USB cable.
Copy the KingRoot APK from the desktop over to the root of the internal storage SD card.
Once you are happy that the KingRoot APK is on the SD card, disconnect your Doogee from the computer and the USB cable.
Launch one of the File Managers you have on the device, or install one from the Google Play Store.
