Download ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Mac and install it on your PC. This will also install your device driver.
Download Meticulus TWRP Recovery for Huawei P9 Lite.

Download SuperSu to root Huawei P9 Lite and copy it to your phone sd card.

How to Install TWRP Recovery in Huawei P9 lite
First of all download and install the ADB and fastboot drivers in your pc or laptop.
Now go to your mobile setting and enable USB Debugging mode.
Now connect your mobile to PC/Lappy.
Go to installed folder of ADB and Fastboot and open CMD at that folder by pressing and holding Shift and key and right click in ADB and Fastboot folder.
Place the recovery image( which you have downloaded) in the ADB and fastboot installed folder

Now type the following command in CMD to enter into fastboot mode in your Huawei P9 Lite

adb reboot bootloader

You are in Fastboot mode now to check your connection by entering below command in command prompt. It will return your device serial number means your device properly connected. Check your driver if the above command is not responding.

fastboot devices

Type the below command correctly in command prompt and then press enter. It will install TWRP recovery on P9 Lite


fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Now boot into recovery by pressing hardware button or by typing below command
