The One A9 made its debut in October 2015, so it’s well over a year old now. This will likely be the last major Android upgrade it receives, then — but it’s a significant one.

How to Update HTC One A9 to Android Nougat –
Method 1
1) First of all Enable ‘USB debugging’ option from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.
2) Now download ADB and fastboot driver for windows orADB and Fastboot for Mac and install it on your PC.
3) Now download the Nougat RUU zip for HTC One M9 from above Copy ROM to a folder where adb installed.
4) Now Connect your phone to Laptop/PC and boot your HTC One A9 into bootloader mode by using below command
adb reboot bootloader
or use manual command to boot HTC One A9 into Recovery Mode –
Power Off your phone.
Press and hold Power + Vol Down at the same time
In download mode, use the Vol Up and Vol Down buttons to navigate up and down and Power to confirm
5) If you see dead Android with an exclamation mark, then hold the Power button and press Volume Up.
6) Now flash the RUU ZIP file on HTC One A9 with the command given below
adb sideload file_name.zip
7) Now wait until the process completely and then Reboot the phone.
8) Done!
