This method only works on Unlocked Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Snapdragon variants, don’t try it on other devices.
This will not work on Exynos variants of the Galaxy S8/S8+. This includes, but not limited to, the International (F/FD), Korean (N), and Exynos LDU (X) variants.

Take a complete backup of your phone for safer side and then proceed.
Ensure that your phone has at least 50-60% charged to prevent the accidental shutdown in-between the process.

How to Install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Snapdragon variants –
Please note that this will only work on Unlocked Chinese or Hong Kong variants of Galaxy S8/S8+ and you won’t Install TWRP or Root US Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Snapdragon variants until their bootloader unlocked. So follow below process to Install TWRP and Root Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Snapdragon variants (Unlocked Variants only). The method to install TWRP on Exynos and Qualcomm variant is same just download the right TWRP.

Download the compatible version of TWRP file for your device.

Boot your device by long pressing the home button + power button + Volume up/ down keys for 3-4 secs to enter into Download mode.

Install and run the Odin software on your PC

Connect your device to the PC while your device is in download mode

Click on the AP option to add firmware through navigating to the file path.

Uncheck re-partition if it is checked and check auto reboot and F. Reset Time options.

Click on start button after checking thoroughly.

After successful completion of installation of the firmware.

You can confirm the installation by having a look at the pass! Message on the log tab.

Now the system will reboot automatically. If not you can restart it manually.

This way you can easily install TWRP recovery on Samsung devices using Odin. This allows you to have full control over your device, as your device has been rooted.

Boot your device into TWRP recovery mode

Power off your device. Long press power button + volume down buttons simultaneously for 3-4 secs. If it is a success, you can see TWRP logo screen.

Alternatively, you can use “ adb reboot recovery ” command to reboot your device through TWRP mode.
