How to Root Yu Yunique

Yu after successfully launching Yureka and Yuphoria has introduced yet another powerfully spec’d budget device in form of Yuphoria. It features 4.7-inch HD display, 8MP camera, and Quad Core Snapdragon 410 with support for Dual SIM and 4G LTE.

So in today’s rooting guide we bring on how to root Yu Yuniq quick and easily.

Guide on How to Root Yu Yunique Easily

Before you proceed any further make sure to charge your device above 30%, though we recommend a full charged device before rooting.

  Step -1: Make Sure Device Model No

Check the model number of device and make sure you have correct model or device for which the guide is prepared. Be warned before using this guide with any other product from same brand or different brand.

This guide is for  Yu Yunique only.

  Step 0: Backup your Device

Backup is mandatory as this will wipe data. Backup is always recommended. Below is guide on how to backup most of your data.

 Backup your Android Device.

  Step 1: Downloads the following files

• Root Toolkit: Download —- File size: 3.99MB
• ADB and Fastboot —-   Download 15 seconds ADB Installer File size: 9.1 MB
• Universal ADB and Fasboot Drivers —- Drivers File size: 8.99 MB

  Step 2: How to Root Yu Yunique

1. Install the ADB and Fastboot Drivers.
2. Enable USB Debugging
   – Goto Settings > About Phone
   – Tap 7 times on Build Number
   – Now Go Back to Settings > Developer Option
   – Enable USB Debugging
3. Extract the Root Toolkit.
4. Open Root without UBL folder & launch Root file to Root without unlocking Bootloader.
5. It will show only Yuphoria and Yureka, but also works for Yunique so don’t worry just connect the device and hit enter in command window.
6. Now it should root your device in few minutes, but if it gets stuck in Waiting for Device then reinstall drivers properly and try again.

Troublshooting

• If your command window shows waiting for device then you need to install drivers properly or try using another USB port preferable to use USB 2.0.
• If still your device is not getting detected just connect it to PC, Open Device Manager and select your device and click on Update Driver Software, Now click Browse Computer for Drivers, then Let me Pick from a List of device drivers, now find the ADB drivers it doesn’t matter if its ASUS, Google, LG, HTC, whichever driver mentions ADB just select it and install and proceed again.

Verify Root Access

To verify root access by installing the Root Check from   Play Store.
