Hello Friends, Today i am going to tell you How to root Motorola Moto X XT1097 (2014) on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. This is the best way to root Motorola Moto X XT1097 (2014) on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. So you can check How to root Motorola Moto X XT1097 (2014) on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Below Here. Successor to the last year’s Moto X, the Moto X 2014 Edition brings with it a host of new features and hardware upgrades that will surely lure you to buy this beast. If you’ve already got one for yourself, you might want to root it. Rooting will let you unlock the true potential of your device and our guide below should help you do just that.

Rooting is the process of gaining administrative rights on your Android device.  Once we root our Android device, we can then make changes to it to customize it well beyond what it normally can do.

Once you have root access on your Motorola Moto X (2014), you’ll be able to:

Remove apps that were preinstalled by your carrier/manufacturer from your device.
Free up storage space (because of the above benefit).
Increase battery life (apps that might have been running constantly can be removed).
Increase performance (after removing apps that are always running, the device will be less bogged down and run smoother).
Update to a new version of Android (by flashing a custom recovery/ROM, see the end of this procedure for more info on that).
Tons of other customizations when you use your new found administrative rights to flash a custom ROM (again, see the end of this procedure for more info on that).

REQUIREMENTS
You need to have the bootloader unlocked before you can install a custom recovery image on the Motorola Moto X smartphone.
You need to get a custom recovery image installed on the Motorola Moto X smartphone before you can follow this guide to becoming the root user on the smartphone.

BEFORE WE BEGIN
We recommend following this guide in its entirety and not taking any shortcuts with the SuperSU because copying it over from the computer is the recommended method and not doing it directly from the browser on your smartphone.
The boot partition needs to be in its untouched and stock state or else the SuperSU installer cannot patch it.
The system partition needs to be untouched also—you should be able to uninstall any of the apps that may have changed the system partition, and that will be enough.
The Motorola Moto X smartphone should be unrooted. You can tap on the “full unroot” button from inside SuperSU if it is not unrooted already.

HOW TO ROOT MOTOROLA MOTO X XT1097 (2014) RUNNING ON ANDROID 6.0.1 MARSHMALLOW SOFTWARE UPDATES
Download the systemless root version of Chainfire’s SuperSU which is the version made specifically to root Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Open up the default downloads location for your operating systems which is the Downloads folder if you are using a Windows computer to find the SuperSU file you just downloaded.
Connect the Motorola Moto X smartphone ot the computer with the USB cable and copy the SuperSU file over ot the internal storage SD card folder that is available on the computer for your smartphone every time you plug it into the computer with the USB cable.
Unplug the smartphone from the computer and then reboot the Moto X into the Recovery Mode so that the custom recovery you previously installed boots up.
Tap on the Install button from the main TWRP menu and then follow the guidelines on the display ot browse the SD card and select the SuperSU.
Continue to doing what you need to do to install that SuperSU which is usually swipe at the bottom of the display where it says to do so now.
Tap on the “Reboot”option followed by the “System”option once the SuperSU is installed by the TWRP Recovery and the Moto X reboots back into the normal mode.
In conclusion, that is everything you need to do to root Motorola Moto X XT1097 smartphones running on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow updates. The guide makes use of the systemless root version of SuperSU which allows you to install all of the same root applications as the other versions of SuperSU. The main difference—and the reason why he chose to call it “systemless”—is the fact that it no longer goes through the system partition when it has installed and enabled the SuperSU on your device.
